About
Museum staff introduce real collection objects so visitors aged seven and over can handle them, learn about their use and significance, and explore a different theme inspired by the displays.
Wakefield Council’s published 2026/27 term dates exclude the 26–30 October half-term; the eight dates in this collection window are 19 October, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November, and 7 and 14 December. Sessions are free and do not require booking.
