Home Education: History Myth Busters (5+)

A home-education history workshop where children aged 5+ pull Christmas crackers to separate historical fact from myth and make their own myth-busting game.

This workshop for home educated children aged 5+ and their families uses Christmas crackers containing statements about people, places and times in history. Children work out which statements are true and which are make believe, then create their own 'history myth busters' game to take home. It is delivered in partnership with the Community and Family Learning Team at Wakefield Council's Adult Education Service and forms part of the Wakefield Museums and Castles home education programme.
