Human Factors in Healthcare : Chichester
About
A full-day workshop led by Prof Rob Galloway on applying human factors science to improve patient safety in healthcare.
This in-person workshop explores human factors — the science of improving performance by understanding individual and team behaviour and cognitive biases — and how redesigning clinical systems and environments can improve patient safety. Aimed at healthcare staff who make difficult decisions in intense, unpredictable circumstances, it examines how system design affects the likelihood of error and harm. The day opens with registration and an introduction to human factors, and is led by Professor Robert Galloway, an Emergency Medicine Consultant at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust and Honorary Clinical Professor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
