2 Day NNAS Bronze Navigation Course: Master the Map & Compass

A two-day NNAS Bronze navigation course around Roseberry Topping teaching map and compass skills for self-reliant hillwalking.

This hands-on NNAS Bronze Navigator Award course runs over two days in the North York Moors around Roseberry Topping, from 9am to 4pm each day. Led by qualified Mountain Leader Fabian Seymour, it covers relocation without GPS, reading contours and landforms, compass work, measuring distance by pacing and timing, route planning, and safety topics including access rights and emergency procedures. The course is aimed at beginners and walkers who want a reliable backup to phone apps, and leads to NNAS-accredited certification.
