About
A new Leeds Playhouse play by Tom Wright about queer desire and secrecy in a 1942 East London pub cellar during an air raid.
Sirens is a new play set in an East London pub cellar in 1942, where landlord Charles seduces American GI Dwight, and an air raid forces friends, family and strangers into the cellar, threatening their secret. Written and directed by Leeds Playhouse Artistic Director Tom Wright, it explores desire, secrecy and survival in a world where queer lives must stay hidden. It is a Leeds Playhouse production continuing Wright's work centring LGBTQ+ stories.
