Pickleball with Holme Valley U3A

The Holme Valley U3A pickleball group plays three hourly sessions in the Civic's Large Hall, open to new members who book ahead.

Holme Valley U3A's pickleball group, started in January 2024, has grown to more than 40 players and now runs three sessions each Wednesday. The game — described as a mix of badminton, tennis and chess — is played in hourly slots from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, with three members holding Pickleball England Leaders Certification. Booking is essential and prospective players can join the group via the Holme Valley U3A website.
