Short Mat Bowls

A friendly winter short mat bowls club at The Civic, Holmfirth, welcoming mixed-gender players aged 9 to 90 in teams of two to four.

Thongsbridge Cricket & Bowling Club runs indoor short mat bowls sessions in the Large Hall at The Civic during the winter months. Players compete in teams of 2, 3 or 4, with the game described as needing good hand-to-eye coordination, tactical prowess and providing good exercise. Sessions are open to mixed-gender players aged 9 to 90 and run from October to March, with sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays; organisers note clubs and classes are occasionally cancelled for holidays, so attendees should check in advance.
