Living Writing: Monthly Creative Writers’ Meetup

A free monthly meetup where writers of all genres bring a 15-minute writing prompt, draw prompts at random and write together in a supportive setting.

This monthly gathering brings together poets, prose writers and playwrights for a session of shared creative practice. Each attendee brings a writing prompt — an exercise in poetry, fiction, nonfiction or playwriting that can be completed in 15 minutes — and prompts are drawn at random from a hat at the start of the session. There is no workshopping of pieces, but participants can share what they have written in response to the prompts. The event runs for three hours and is open to writers of all levels, whether hobbyists or professionals.
