Wild Words: Gods, Myths and Monsters

A family storytelling and music show bringing Greek and Russian myths to life with sound collages, songs and audience participation.

Storyteller Michael Loader and composer Gwyneth Herbert collaborate on a family show exploring gods, humans and monsters through myth. The programme reimagines an Ancient Greek myth about the shifting seasons and a Russian folk tale, both led by female characters, and creates a brand-new myth on the spot with audience help. The event opens with a pre-show Playshop of songs and games at 3.15pm, followed by a short break and the main show, finishing around 5pm; it is most suitable for children aged 6 and above.
