About
Walk from Whitechapel to Shadwell to explore overlooked African histories, archaeological discoveries and local abolitionist connections.
The route begins outside Tower Hamlets Town Hall, continues through the Silk District and the Cable Street mural, and ends at St George-in-the-East with a pop-up archaeology exhibition. Participants can share local stories and discuss histories of mutual aid and abolitionism.
