Tor to Shore Seaquest Southwest Public Seawatch: Carlyon Bay, St Austell
About
A free two-hour public seawatch survey on the Carlyon Bay headland, spotting seals, whales and dolphins for marine conservation.
Seaquest Southwest's public seawatch invites anyone interested in marine wildlife to spend two hours scanning the sea from the West Carlyon headland. Led by experienced coordinators and local marine experts, participants look out for species such as seals, whales and dolphins while contributing sightings to community science research. The session takes place on exposed cliffs, so warm waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear and binoculars are recommended, and everyone from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts is welcome.
