About

A writers' meet-up in Brighton featuring best-selling author Dorothy Koomson, with discussion, a writing exercise and readings.

Real Writers Circle's Why We Write workshop brings Sussex writers together at Brighton Friends Meeting House to explore what motivates them and connect with other writers. Best-selling novelist Dorothy Koomson, author of 23 books including The Quiet Girls, talks about her creative life and career spanning more than two decades. The evening includes facilitated conversations, a speaker hot seat, a short writing exercise and an open-mic-style session where attendees can share work, with free tickets offered to writers who could not otherwise attend.
