The Annual Dockrill Memorial Lecture: Berlin and the BBC

Professor Miles Taylor traces the BBC’s long relationship with Berlin and Germany through a century of broadcasting and political change.

The lecture draws on Berlin and the BBC: A Century of Sound and Vision, co-edited by Miles Taylor and Patrick Major, and considers broadcasting from the interwar years through wartime, the Cold War and reunification. Eventbrite’s event schedule includes doors at 17:30, lecture at 18:00, audience Q&A at 19:00, reception at 19:30 and event close at 20:30. The KCL card and Eventbrite header give 18:00–19:30, so the end/duration is unresolved. The in-person venue is the Great Hall, King’s Building.
