Commemoration of Unknown Warrior

An annual wreath-laying Remembrance Service at Victoria Station marking the 1920 arrival of the Unknown Warrior's coffin.

Held every year on 10 November, this Remembrance Service takes place between platforms 8 and 9 at Victoria Station, where a plaque marks the spot where the Unknown Warrior's coffin arrived at 8.32pm in 1920 and lay overnight under guard. Attendees assemble at Platform 8 for a service at 8:00pm, with the wreath-laying around 8:15pm. The commemoration is associated with the Royal British Legion's Greater London Remembrance activities.
