The John Martyn Project

A six-piece collective performs a heartfelt celebration of John Martyn's music at the Cheese & Grain.

The John Martyn Project began in 2018 when six artists gathered at the Jazz Café in Camden to celebrate John Martyn's music, and has grown into an ongoing tribute to one of Britain's most pioneering musical voices. Each member brings their own relationship with Martyn's catalogue, honouring his legacy through heartfelt performances. The line-up features Blythe Pepino, Kit Hawes, Pete Josef, Sam Brookes, John Blakeley and Jon Short. The event has a minimum age of 10, with under-16s accompanied by a responsible adult.
