The Rigmarollers + Mambo Jambo
About
A Friday night of early 20th century ragtime, blues and jazz from The Rigmarollers, with support from acoustic roots duo Mambo Jambo.
The Rigmarollers — Ed Hopwood, Julian Marshall and Ewan Penkey — perform their take on early 20th century blues, ragtime and jazz, with vocals, harmonica, guitar, fiddle, mandolin and sousaphone over a driving backbeat. The trio, who released the LP '21st Century Speakeasy Music' last year, are supported by Mambo Jambo, an eclectic acoustic roots duo blending roots, jazz, world and folk on guitar, banjo, accordion, sax, clarinet and more. Live music starts at 9pm, with the venue's 'Zer' kitchen serving Middle Eastern fusion food from 5pm.
