Tashkezar+ Zelt

Tashkezar bring their Baladi Funk blend of Egyptian pop, Anatolian rock and Balkan folk to Jamboree, with support from Anglo-Turkish trio Zelt.

Tashkezar, a band with members from Egypt, Uzbekistan, the UK and the US, play live music from 9pm, fusing vintage Egyptian pop, Anatolian rock, Balkan folk and Afrobeat into a danceable sound of psych guitars, funk basslines, horns, synth and Arabic vocals. Support comes from Zelt, an Anglo-Turkish London trio combining SWANA folk melodies with electronic grooves and angular guitars. Jamboree's 'Zer' kitchen opens from 5pm serving Middle Eastern fusion food before the gig.
