People’s Poem for Wensum
About
A free drop-in session where people of all ages contribute words and memories to a community poem about the River Wensum.
This free drop-in creative session invites people of all ages to share words, memories and feelings about the River Wensum — from a single word to a sentence. Contributions gathered between 4 and 7pm will feed into a commissioned poem by the National Centre for Writing as part of Norwich UNESCO City of Literature, celebrating the river's rights and its role in the city's communities and environment. No writing experience is needed. The event is programmed for 'Where the River Meets Us', a festival delivered by Norwich City Council.
