About
A museum presentation exploring the mental health pressures faced by Second World War Fighter Command aircrew through their personal stories.
This event at Bentley Priory Museum examines the mental health pressures experienced by Fighter Command aircrew during the Second World War. Using their personal stories, it looks at what maintained morale among pilots, under the theme that "the fear of being thought a coward was more powerful than the fear of death". The project has been funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The event appears repeatedly across multiple dates in January 2027.
