RTWSO: Memories of Childhood

The RTWSO season closes with an orchestral concert of Wagner, Barber and Mahler on the theme of childhood memories.

The Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra ends its season with a programme of music looking back to childhood. Wagner's Siegfried Idyll opens the concert, followed by Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with soprano Paula Sides. The afternoon concludes with Mahler's Symphony No. 4, whose finale again features the soprano, with conductor Peter Selwyn. Running time is 50 minutes, a 20-minute interval, then 50 minutes.
