RTWSO: Heroes & Legends

The RTWSO performs Beethoven's Eroica Symphony and Wagner's Parsifal Symphonic Suite under conductor Peter Selwyn.

The Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra concert pairs Beethoven's Third Symphony, the Eroica, with Wagner's Parsifal Symphonic Suite under conductor Peter Selwyn. The first half presents Beethoven's bold, driving heroic symphony, while after the interval the Wagner offers a slow, expansive and atmospheric world drawn from his final opera. The programme contrasts urgent human drama with an otherworldly musical vision across roughly two hours including a 20-minute interval.
