About

Historian Ian Jacobs gives an illustrated talk on the 61 Reproduction Unit, whose artists and printers mapped the route to Allied victory in Burma.

Ian Jacobs, a Sunninghill-based historian and publisher, presents an illustrated talk drawing on the Waddams family archive. In February 1943 a group of artists and printers sailed from Greenock for South Africa, India and Burma, and through original artworks, photographs, maps and documents Jacobs recounts how the 61 Reproduction Unit, Indian Expeditionary, mapped the way to victory in August 1945. The talk lasts one hour and is organised by RBWM Libraries.
