Pithead Baths Explore

A volunteer-led walk through the Pithead Baths explains the shower and changing facilities used by miners and how the baths changed daily life at the colliery.

The tour looks at the baths’ equipment and routines, the campaign to provide mine baths, and the effect of washing facilities on workers and their families. It runs at noon Wednesday to Sunday while a volunteer guide is available.
