Wild Collective at Danaway - Monthly Nature-Based Group for Ages 11 to 16
About
A monthly forest school-style nature group for ages 11-16 at Danaway Permaculture Homestead, offering fire, shelter, food and tool skills.
The Wild Collective is a drop-off, forest school-style nature club for young people aged 11-16, run monthly by Riversmeet Community Cooperative at Danaway Permaculture Homestead. Sessions last around three hours and offer optional self-directed activities built around four themes: fire building and cooking, shelter building, food growing and foraging, and using tools for traditional land-based crafts. Sessions are led by Level 3 Forest School Practitioner Sarah Lenehan with DBS-checked volunteers, and the pilot programme is subsidised by the Ernest Cook Trust to keep costs low for local families.
