Danaway Wildlings - Rooted in Nature - A Monthly Home Education Group

A monthly outdoor home education group for families at a permaculture homestead, exploring seasonal rhythms, crafts and practical skills.

Riversmeet Community Cooperative runs this monthly home education group for families with children aged 5+ who do not attend school, held on a small farm with a permaculture garden, food forest, sheep pastures, polytunnel, yurt and fire spiral. Each session includes seasonal crafts with natural materials, practical skills such as fire lighting, tool use, shelter-building and food growing, plus free play and nature connection time. Sessions are led by Level 3 Forest School Practitioner Sarah Lenehan with DBS-checked volunteers, and are not drop-off — the whole family participates. The pilot programme is subsidised by the Ernest Cook Trust and lasts two and a half hours.
