About
OperaUpClose's family opera Flotsam, for ages 2-5, brings David Wiesner's picture book to life with music, movement and storytelling.
Half Moon presents OperaUpClose's Flotsam, a show for ages 2-5 based on David Wiesner's picture book. A curious child finds a mysterious camera washed up on the beach, and the photos reveal children linked across time and an extraordinary underwater world of turtles carrying cities and dancing starfish. Kerry Andrew's score blends music, movement and storytelling, with each 35-minute performance followed by a chance to meet the instruments.
