About
Alex Garnett's Trio performs a tribute to soul jazz legend Lou Donaldson at The Nutshell's monthly jazz club.
The Nutshell Jazz Club hosts saxophonist Alex Garnett's trio for an evening paying homage to the late soul jazz alto saxophonist "Papa" Lou Donaldson. The set promises blues-infused bebop classics drawn from the Blue Note vaults, following Donaldson's crowd-pleasing crossover ethos. Garnett is joined by Liam Dunachie on Hammond organ and Dave Ingamells on drums, with the performance staged in an intimate cabaret-style setting.
