About
A two-evening beginner woodcarving course that teaches chip-carving techniques and finishes with a decorated wooden coaster.
Participants learn to use woodcarving chisels and gouges to create decorative surface cuts. The tutor demonstrates techniques on a practice board, then supports participants to adapt a design and carve it into a blank wooden coaster. The course page lists two 18:30–21:30 sessions on 18 and 25 November 2026. Studio 2 is up three flights of stairs and does not have step-free access. The tutor is not named on the current page.
