Rent the Musical

Curtain Call theatre company return with the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning rock musical Rent, an amateur production at the Walker Theatre.

Curtain Call present Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning rock musical Rent, loosely based on Puccini's La Bohème. The show follows a year in the life of impoverished young artists and musicians in 1990s New York City, dealing with gentrification, addiction and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The rock-infused score includes numbers such as Seasons of Love, La Vie Bohème and Take Me or Leave Me. This is an amateur production, staged as a venue hire at the Walker Theatre.
