John Robertson's The Dark Room

John Robertson's interactive comedy show turns the audience into players of a live-action text adventure game, with improv, crowd-work and gaming chaos.

The Dark Room is an interactive comedy show in its 14th year, created and hosted by comedian John Robertson. The audience is trapped in an inescapable dungeon with a sadistic videogame boss, choosing increasingly surreal on-screen options in a choose-your-own-adventure format blending improv, crowd-work and gaming. The show features stand-up, audience chanting and 'appalling prizes', and is recommended for ages 15+ due to strong language.
