Annual Remembrance Sunday Service
About
Trowbridge's annual Remembrance Sunday service and parade, with a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in Trowbridge town park.
The Remembrance Sunday service takes place at St James' Church, followed by the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in Trowbridge town park. A procession forms outside the Town Hall at 9.15am and moves to the church, where the service begins at 9.45am; military and civic dignitaries take the salute as the parade passes the saluting dais on Silver Street. The Town Crier invites wreath layers forward at the memorial, with the Last Post at 10.59am and two minutes' silence at 11am. Seating inside the church is limited, so attendees may need to stand, and road closures apply along the parade route between 9.10am and 11.45am.
