Remembrance Sunday

A public Act of Remembrance at Chippenham's War Memorial, gathering from 10.45am ahead of the two-minute silence at 11am.

The public are invited to gather opposite the War Memorial in Chippenham's Market Place for the Act of Remembrance, which begins before the two-minute silence at 11am. Veterans and serving personnel can make themselves known to Town Council event staff for a reserved area near the Memorial. After the Act of Remembrance, a traditional parade takes place down the High Street, and individuals and community groups not in the parade may join the queue to lay red poppy wreaths once dignitaries, including the Mayor, have done so.
