The Way We Live

A free exhibition at The Box Plymouth exploring ideas of home, housing and community through contemporary art, film and archival material.

Curated by Beth Hughes, this exhibition uses sculpture, installation, painting, photography, film and archival collections to explore what home means, how it shapes identity and how we want to live in the future. Leading contemporary artists including Do Ho Suh, Rachel Whiteread, Jasleen Kaur and Gavin Turk appear alongside new commissions by Hannah Starkey and Jacqui Poncelet. The show also features a restored version of Craigie's 1946 film 'The Way We Live', new commissions by three emerging photographers, and a display on the 1943 'A Plan for Plymouth'. Open 10am-5pm Tuesday-Sunday (3pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve).
