A weekly social club for people aged 55 and over at the Mercury Theatre, with rotating activities including meet-ups, dance, play reading and workshops.
The Mercury Theatre's Social Club meets every Thursday from 12pm to 2pm for anyone aged 55 and over, offering a friendly, inclusive space to meet people and take part creatively. Activities rotate monthly: Meet Ups feature talks from in-house or visiting artists, the Dance Group explores different styles for all abilities, Play Readers examine famous scenes from great plays, and Activity Weeks may include acting, creative writing or other participatory workshops. Upcoming sessions include a 50s/60s-themed meet-up, a pantomime visit with Q&A, and a Christmas party quiz and disco. Brews and biscuits are included in the price.
