Southampton Christmas Market

A festive Christmas market in Southampton city centre with wooden chalets, food and drink, rides and Santa's Grotto.

Southampton Christmas Market runs from 12 November to 27 December 2026 in Above Bar Street and Guildhall Square. Visitors can browse traditional wooden chalets selling crafts, gifts and food and drink, with bars serving mulled wine, hot chocolate and German beer. The event also features rides and attractions including the UK's tallest Ferris wheel, the AtmosFear ride, an Ice Slide, a Christmas Fun House, children's rides and Santa's Grotto beside the Bargate. Opening hours vary by day and month, and the market is closed on Christmas Day.
