Lanterns at Llanthony with Mindful Clay
About
A three-session ceramics workshop series where participants handbuild, decorate, glaze and fire their own paper clay lanterns at a historic priory.
Led by ceramicist Jonathan Walker, this series of three mindful workshops teaches handbuilding techniques to create a lantern from paper clay, which participants then decorate, glaze and fire. Sessions take place at Llanthony Secunda Priory, a heritage venue within the remains of a 12th-century priory, and each lasts around two hours. Tickets include all materials, firing and refreshments, and attendees must book all three dates to finish their pieces. The sessions are aimed at adults, with under-18s welcome when accompanied by an adult.
