Bird ID, Song & Optics Workshop

A small-group early-morning workshop at RSPB Fairburn Ings teaching bird identification by sight and sound, with advice on choosing binoculars from a Viking optical consultant.

This two-hour workshop at RSPB Fairburn Ings helps participants sharpen their skills in recognising birds by sight and sound, covering key identification features, behaviours and the stories behind birdsong. A Viking optical consultant, linked to the RSPB's Optics Weekends, offers tailored advice on which binoculars best suit birdwatchers' needs. The small-group format is aimed at those seeking specialist knowledge and peaceful early mornings in nature, and a complimentary drink is included afterwards at the Visitor Centre.
