The Business of Self-Publishing

Writer Elizabeth Ducie leads a one-hour workshop on taking a business approach to self-publishing, part of the venue's Book Fest.

This workshop with author Elizabeth Ducie covers two main areas: an overview of publishing options for authors, weighing the pros and cons of traditional, hybrid and self-publishing routes, and a self-publishing decision tree setting out the questions authors must answer at each stage of a project. Participants leave with a reusable decision-making process based on a business approach, and a handout is provided. The session runs 12.30pm to 1.30pm in the Meeting Room and is aimed at adults.
