Ian Seeley, a construction law solicitor at Ellisons, examines how environmental and sustainability provisions appear in current NEC and JCT contracts, how amendments can strengthen environmental protections, and what to watch for when reviewing added sustainability requirements. He also looks ahead to how such considerations may become more firmly embedded in construction contracts.
