Mendelssohn's Elijah

Royal Northern Sinfonia and Huddersfield Choral Society perform Mendelssohn's oratorio Elijah at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Royal Northern Sinfonia join Huddersfield Choral Society, conductor Gregory Batsleer and four solo singers for a performance of Mendelssohn's oratorio Elijah. The work tells the biblical story of the prophet Elijah in the tradition of Handel's Messiah and Bach's St Matthew Passion. The programme pairs dramatic narrative with Romantic choral and orchestral writing.
