Hallé Orchestra - Messiah

The Hallé Orchestra and Choir perform Handel's Messiah with four soloists under conductor Matthew Hamilton at The Bridgewater Hall.

The Hallé Orchestra and Hallé Choir perform Handel's Messiah in its traditional version, conducted by Matthew Hamilton. The oratorio tells the story of Christ through choruses and arias, including the 'Hallelujah' chorus, with a quartet of soloists: soprano Sophie Bevan, mezzo-soprano Katie Bray, tenor Anthony Gregory and bass James Platt. A long-standing Manchester Christmas tradition, performed almost every year since 1859.
