Totem: The Untold Story of Sculpture, Art Talk with Jo Baring
About
Art historian Jo Baring gives an hour-long talk on sculpture, creativity and memory, accompanying her book TOTEM.
Art historian Jo Baring explores why humans have made sculpture for forty thousand years, examining creativity, memory and our sense of place in the world. The talk accompanies her book TOTEM, described by Sir Antony Gormley as 'lively and passionate', with copies available in the Gallery shop. It is programmed to coincide with the final month of the exhibition Art Then!, which features twentieth-century sculptures from the Ingram Collection, of which Baring is Director. The event is suitable for people over 12 years of age.
