Visionary Landscapes: Ink and Wash Masterclass
About
A morning ink and wash workshop with artist Eleanor May Watson, inspired by Samuel Palmer and the autumn landscape at Borde Hill.
Artist Eleanor May Watson leads a relaxed morning of drawing and painting inspired by British Romantic painter Samuel Palmer and the textures of an English autumn garden. Participants work with ink, dip pens and watercolour to capture seedheads, fallen leaves, branches and low golden light, experimenting with layering, mark-making and tonal contrast to create an atmospheric piece to take home. The morning begins with tea, coffee and bakes at Restaurant Isca, followed by an introduction to the Turning Light exhibition and Eleanor's artwork, before the practical session in The Stables Workshop. Tickets include all materials, refreshments and garden admission afterwards.
