Soundhouse: Harben Kay: Space for Dreaming

A Soundhouse Winter Festival commission featuring Harben Kay's new jazz work Space for Dreaming, performed by a specially assembled five-piece ensemble.

Harben Kay presents Space for Dreaming, a new commission for the Soundhouse Winter Festival exploring what happens when artists slow down and take space to share, reflect and dream. The specially constructed band expands a traditional jazz trio with tuba, guitar, voice and flute, drawing players from a broad range of musical backgrounds. The ensemble features Harben Kay on tenor saxophone and flute, Pippa Blundell on voice and guitar, Danielle Price on tuba, Brodie Laird-Jarvie on bass and Stephen Henderson on drums.
