Young Writers Workshops
About
Monthly creative writing workshops for ages 13–18 led by Karen Hodgson Pryce, using objects at the Highland Folk Museum as inspiration.
Storylands Sessions runs monthly creative writing workshops for young people aged 13–18 at the Highland Folk Museum's Am Fasgadh Building. Led by Karen Hodgson Pryce, each one-hour session uses objects around the museum — such as a lantern, boots or an old shinty stick — as prompts for stories, poems, comedy, drama or fantasy writing. No writing experience is needed, and visual artists are welcome to sketch in response to the objects. Each workshop stands alone, and participants may walk to nearby areas of the museum site, so warm outdoor clothing is advised.
