'Twas The Night Before Christmas

A seasonal Hall experience that recreates a Victorian Christmas Eve in the 1850s through decorated rooms, a guided story booklet and a children’s trail.

Visitors follow the Housekeeper Mrs Styche through decorated principal ground-floor rooms and festive displays. The 2026 experience focuses on the ground floor while upstairs rooms are closed for winter conservation. Published visiting times are 11am–4pm, last admission 3pm; standard Hall admission applies, with free entry for Burton Constable Hall and Historic Houses members.
