Lovely Butterfly + For Life — Double Bill

Two films examine the effects of imprisonment and separation through a daughter’s letters to her father and a woman’s effort to conceive while her husband serves a life sentence.

Lovely Butterfly (Fairouz Hasan) revisits childhood through letters exchanged with her father during his years in Israeli prisons. For Life (Ahmet Seven), billed as a UK premiere, follows a Palestinian woman attempting to conceive a child while her husband serves a life sentence. These are the two titles in the published double bill.
