About

The former projectionist of Jenin’s old cinema tries to reclaim his job as the building is restored and new technology changes the work. The screening is followed by a Screen Talk with Alex Bakri.

Hussein Darbi is determined to return to his former role at Cinema Jenin after a German NGO begins restoring the abandoned building. His effort to prove his craft with an antique toolbox also reflects on development aid and a fading cinema culture. The LPFF detail page bills a Screen Talk with director Alex Bakri.
