What Remains Within (curated by Paola Lucente)

Paola Lucente curates paintings and sculpture by Chloe Bonfield, Kate Lyddon and Zulfiya Spowart around memory, inheritance and the traces held in bodies, materials and domestic objects.

The group exhibition pairs works across painting and sculpture, considering how memory is absorbed and changed through gesture, material and everyday life. Bonfield presents paintings on unstretched canvas; Lyddon shows pigment-stained works on linen and jute; Spowart contributes a sculpture that reworks the familiar form of a rocking horse. The gallery describes this project room exhibition as running in parallel with Nicola Turner’s solo installation.
