See My World Film Festival

A one-day festival of Pan-African and Global Majority films from the North of England, with Q&As, workshops, panels, performances and exhibitions.

See My World brings its first Film Festival to Contact for a day of Pan-African and Global Majority film, culture, conversation and community. The programme includes films from across the North of England, archival screenings and an exclusive premiere of new See My World documentaries, alongside Q&As, workshops and panels with award-winning filmmakers. Taking Sasa Na Zamani (Now and Then) as its starting point, the festival explores an African understanding of time and how liberation is expressed within communities, with immersive performances and exhibitions incorporating music and poetry. It is produced by Big People community CIC & Big People Music, developed with support from Contact.
